The U19s won 4:2 in Be’er Sheva, but it wasn’t enough to secure the championship. Talmi, Brosh, Olezki and levy scored

The youth team traveled to Be’er Sheva for the final match of the 2025/26 season knowing they were not dependent on themselves in the title race - needing both a win and dropped points from their rivals in the parallel fixture.

After just three minutes, Hapoel took the lead: Omri Levy controlled the ball brilliantly inside the box and squared it to Ron Talmi, who scored with one touch for his ninth league goal of the season. Seven minutes later, Alon Moskovich delivered a corner from the left and Yishai Brosh rose above everyone to make it 2:0 for the Reds. Be’er Sheva pulled one back just before halftime.

In the 80th minute, second-goal scorer Brosh delivered a perfect low cross, and Ravid Olezki tapped into an empty net for his 11th league goal of the season. Three minutes later, Be’er Sheva cut the deficit to 3:2. Deep into stoppage time, Raz Tamar played Omri Levy through on goal and he scored - 4:2 to Hapoel at full-time.

Due to the result in the parallel match, Hapoel finished the season in second place with 63 points from a possible 84, missing out on the title because of an inferior goal difference despite finishing level on points with their rivals.

Huge credit to Shahar Wizinger’s players - the future generation in red - for a successful season and a fantastic title fight until the very last moment. Their journey this season has come to an end, but this is definitely only the beginning. See you next season!
