Youth: Huge derby win

The U19s secured three crucial points and moved level on points with their city rivals at the top of the table with two matches remaining. Olezki decided the derby with a stunning goal 

The youth team visited their city rivals this Saturday for the Tel Aviv derby, played as part of Matchday 26 in the U19 Premier League.

The match was decided as early as the third minute. Ron Talmi delivered a free kick into the box, and Ravid Olitsky rose brilliantly before scoring with a spectacular bicycle kick to net the winner. It was Olezki’s tenth league goal of the season, moving him to the top of the club’s scoring charts.

Thanks to the victory, Shahar Wizinger’s side moved level on points with Maccabi Tel Aviv at the top of the table with 57 points each and two rounds left to play. Maccabi remain ahead on goal difference, while Hapoel will aim to win their final two matches and hope for a slip-up from their rivals. Next Saturday, Hapoel will host Maccabi Haifa at Bat Yam Stadium.
