The youth team hosted F.C. Ashdod on Saturday in Matchday 15 of the Youth Premier League. Hapoel came into the match after losing first place in the standings, with their previous game ending in a 1:1 draw against Beitar Jerusalem.
In the 17th minute, Mkay Benbenisty made a fine run down the right wing and squared the ball to Or Masika, who shot - the opposing goalkeeper saved, but the striker pounced on the rebound and scored his third consecutive goal and his seventh of the league season.

Hapoel held the lead until the 90th minute, and during stoppage time were awarded a penalty kick after a shot by Henly Agbo was blocked by the hand of an opposing player. Omri Levy stepped up to the spot and sent the ball into the goalkeeper’s left corner for his fifth league goal of the season. 2:0 at full time.
Shahar Weisinger’s players, as noted, return to first place in the league table with 34 points from a possible 45 and a positive goal difference of 28:13. Next Saturday they will visit Hapoel Rishon LeZion; kickoff time will be announced later.
