The youth team were hosted by Maccabi Haifa in Matchday 20 of the Youth Premier League and the third round of the Championship Playoff, which they reached after a 3:1 derby defeat in their previous match.
The hosts took an early lead in the 4th minute, which also stood as the halftime result. In the 64th minute, Ron Talmi stepped up to take a corner from the right and, with his left foot, curled the ball straight into the net to equalize - his seventh league goal of the season.
Shahar Weisinger’s players remain top of the league table with 44 points from a possible 60. Next Saturday (7.2), Hapoel will host Hapoel Be’er Sheva.
