The youth team hosted Hapoel Kfar Saba this Saturday for Matchday 2 of the Youth Premier League, held at the Yavne Stadium. The Reds entered the clash following a 1–0 victory over Maccabi Herzliya in the opening round, courtesy of a goal by Avi Dagim.

Hapoel searched for the breakthrough for 80 minutes—and their efforts finally paid off. Avi Dagim sent a cross in from the right flank to 15-year-old Yotam Kalfa, who headed home the winning goal and his debut strike for the youth squad.

With this result, Hapoel maintains a perfect record since the start of the season with six points out of a possible six. Asaf Gorenstein's side will travel to face Hapoel Petah Tikva this coming Tuesday (August 25).

Following the match, Kalfa said: "I’m happy with the goal I scored and that it helped the team win. We played a great game, and we’re already focused on the next one."

Uri Meir added: "The goal came at a crucial minute. We worked hard throughout the match, and we’re glad the ball finally found the back of the net. We’re happy, but now we shift our focus to Tuesday's game."
