The senior women’s team traveled to a freezing Jerusalem for Matchday 13 of the Women’s National League, where they faced Beitar Jerusalem at Beit Vagan.

Hapoel took the lead in the 19th minute after Yitonda Adebouyajo broke down the right wing and sent a cross into the center, which Roni Ohana finished into the net. Sixteen minutes into the second half, we saw a replay of the opener: Adebouyajo again from the right flank found Ohana, who completed her brace.

In the 73rd minute, Eden Avital stole the ball from the opposition defense, went past the goalkeeper and took a shot. A Beitar player handled the ball and was sent off. Avital stepped up to take the penalty from 11 meters and calmly placed it into the goalkeeper’s left corner. Ten minutes before the final whistle, Gil havatzlet fired from outside the box, the opposing goalkeeper failed to deal with it properly, and Roni Ohana pounced on the rebound to complete her hat-trick and seal the result: a 4:0 red victory.

Ofer Ben Zeev’s side currently sit second in the league table with 28 points from a possible 36, with a game in hand, just one point behind third-placed Boatot Tamra. In the next league round, to be played on Thursday (29.12, 20:30), Hapoel will host Tamra for a top-of-the-table clash at the Hodorov Complex.
