Barda and Kreav ahead of Beitar Jerusalem: “It’s a big game against an excellent team, we have a lot to offer”

Ahead of the away match against Beitar Jerusalem (Thursday, 20:30), head coach Elyaniv Barda and midfielder Andrian Kreav spoke at a press conference.

Barda opened and addressed the opponent: “Beitar are having an excellent season and are in tremendous form. We faced them twice this season - in the first we won in the final minutes, and in the second we lost in the Toto Cup final - so from my perspective the balance of power is 50:50. We’ll try to stop their strengths, and they have many, and to exploit their weak points”.

“We’re focusing on Hapoel Tel Aviv,” the coach added. “We want to be the best we can be. We have a lot to offer, we’ll come to Teddy to prove we’re worthy. There are many players who won’t be at our disposal, but we’ll use everyone who can play, without any excuses”.

On the goals ahead: “We want to improve our away record and we’ll put the emphasis on that. We’re looking ahead to what’s coming, not to what has already happened, and we want to have a better round than the previous one”.

When asked about what awaits the team in the coming month, he replied: “January? Every player would want matchups against those teams - it’s an extraordinary experience, for the fans as well. And we’ll need to arrive prepared for every match - and that starts tomorrow”.

Andrian Kreav, speaking to the media for the first time, said: “I love everything about the country, from the very beginning. I feel good in the team, and it’s pleasant for me and my partner to live here. I heard from the coach and from the head of scouting about the club’s project, I liked it and wanted to be part of it”.

Ahead of tomorrow’s match: “I know a lot about the rivalries with Beitar Jerusalem. It’s a big game - we’ll need to be organized, full of passion - and a bit of luck wouldn’t hurt either. We hope to make our fans happy”.
