The women’s team defeated Boatot Tamra, with goals from Avital, Perl and Biton
The senior women’s team hosted M.S. Boatot Tamra in Matchday 14 of the Women’s National League. As a reminder, Hapoel faced an opponent they had not beaten in the first round (2:2), but came into the match on the back of three consecutive wins in all competitions.

In the 34th minute, Eden Avital played a brilliant through ball to Yetunde Adeboyejo, who squared it into the box - the ball deflected off an opposing player and went in, 1:0 to Hapoel. A few minutes later, Roni Ohana was shown a straight red card, leaving the team with ten players.

Five minutes into the second half, Hapoel doubled the lead. Shira Feniger delivered a cross into the box, Adeboyejo headed it, the goalkeeper failed to deal with it properly and Eden Avital pounced on the rebound to score her 18th league goal of the season. In the 57th minute, Anna Cheminava lifted a free kick from the left, Shay Perl controlled it and scored the third. The final score was set by Hodaya Biton, who netted her first goal for the club after joining last week from Maccabi Kisharot Hadera, receiving the ball in the box from captain Cheminava and finishing with one touch.

Ofer Ben Zeev’s side sit second in the league table with 31 points from a possible 39, with a game in hand. Next week, they will travel to face Bnot Karmiel (Tuesday, 20:30) and Maccabi Atlit (Friday, 10:00).
