Ten fans of the club, members of the Brothers for Life organization, met the players and staff: Heroic stories that put things in perspective

We were happy to host at the Hodorov Complex ten fans of the club, members of the Brothers for Life organization, which assists IDF wounded soldiers, in honor of the national appreciation day for Israel’s wounded veterans marked this week.

Brothers for Life is a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote and support IDF soldiers who were wounded in operational activity and in defense of the people and the homeland. The organization provides a supportive social framework that helps injured fighters in their rehabilitation process and in fulfilling their personal and professional aspirations as they return to the path of life.

Ori Asulin and Rom David, Golani fighters (from Battalions 13 and 51 respectively) who fought and were wounded on October 7, shared their personal stories, which inspired us all. The organization’s members presented the players with bracelets bearing the organization’s logo and a shield of appreciation for the club.

At the end, a friendly football match was held between the players and staff and a team of representatives from the organization, reinforced by captain Fernand Mayembo.

Omri Altman concluded: This was an incredible experience, hearing the heroic stories that give perspective to all of our daily lives. It is a great honor for us, and we enjoyed every moment of the meeting. It is heartwarming to know that Hapoel does so much for those who need both physical and emotional support.
