The first-ever league meeting between Hapoel Tel Aviv and Hapoel Tiberias took place on November 18, 1961. Hapoel hosted the match at the Maccabi North Ground in Tel Aviv and won 4:2 in the fourth round. Rahamim (Rachavia) Rosenbaum netted a hat-trick (40’, 49’, 70’), while Daniel Danieli added the fourth in the 83rd minute.

On March 21, 1964, Hapoel recorded its biggest victory over Tiberias in history, thrashing them 5:1 at the Tiberias Municipal Stadium in the 20th round. The goals came from Avraham Friedrich (37’), Gideon Tish (44’, 74’), and Rachavia Rosenbaum (84’, 86’).

The last home meeting between the sides in league play took place on December 2, 1989, at Bloomfield Stadium, ending in a 2:0 Hapoel win thanks to goals from Rafi Shmuel (39’) and Maurice Jeannot (84’).

The last league encounter occurred on March 31, 1990, when Hapoel traveled to Tiberias and suffered a 2–1 defeat. Hapoel’s only goal came from Israel Maya in the 88th minute.
