The senior team joined the Hapoel Shavim and Hapoel Shavim youth teams for a joint candle lighting ceremony
Hapoel Shavim held a candle lighting ceremony this morning (Friday) at the start of their weekly training session. This special session was held jointly with Hapoel Shavim youth team.

Players from the club’s senior team joined the event just before beginning their final training session ahead of the match against Maccabi Bnei Reineh. Representatives from all three teams came together to light the sixth candle of Hanukkah.
First Team Manager Elyaniv Barda said: "This is a wonderful opportunity for us to meet all of you here. I want to wish you and your families a Happy Hanukkah, full of light—just like these candles - and may we know only good times".
Hapoel Shavim player, ori Gross, added: "Last year, the day after we met here for candle lighting, we beat Tiberias in the Cup - so I hope we bring you that same luck tomorrow. We are lighting the sixth candle today, and I want to wish the entire Hapoel Tel Aviv family a happy holiday filled with light".
The Hapoel Shavim youth team is supported by the Shamli family, who lost Alon in a terror attack. Mor Shamli, Alon's widow, addressed the attendees: "The combination of football - which was Alon's passion - and special education, which is my field, brings together both our worlds and preserves his memory in a truly significant way. Thank you to the senior team for coming to light the candles, and to the Hapoel Shavim adult team for the joint training session. Happy holidays to everyone".
Happy Hanukkah!
