Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv claimed a 2:0 victory over Bnei Sakhnin this evening at Bloomfield Stadium in Matchday 11 of the Winner League. Turiel and Loizou found the net
Hapoel arrived to the match after the international break and the winter pitch-renewal period with the aim of returning to winning ways following the goalless draw against Hapoel Jerusalem in the previous round. More than fifteen thousand supporters filled the stands. The team dictated the pace and initiative for most of the first half, yet went into the interval without a goal.
The second half opened in a different tone. Hapoel increased the pressure. In the fifty third minute, Stav Turyel delivered a perfect free kick from twenty eight metres that gave Hapoel a deserved lead. It was his seventh league goal of the season. Eight minutes later it was Loizos Loizou’s turn as he unleashed a powerful strike from twenty metres into the top corner, marking his first goal in the red shirt and doubling the advantage.
The score remained unchanged until the final whistle. Hapoel registered a second win in the last three league fixtures and moved up to eighteen points with a goal tally of nineteen scored and fourteen conceded.

Minute 20: Following twenty quiet minutes from both sides, Hapoel Tel Aviv produced the first real threat when a cross by Loizou reached the head of Ran Benjamin whose effort was collected by Mohammed Abu Nil.
Minute 28: A low cross from Doron Leidner created chaos in the visitors’ box. The ball fell to Stav Turyel who struck a low attempt that was stopped by Abu Nil.
Minute 53: Goal. Hapoel Tel Aviv take the lead. Stav Turyel stepped up for a long-range free kick and sent a rocket into the net. Abu Nil could only watch as the ball sailed in. 1:0.
Minute 61: Goal. Loizos Loizou scores at Bloomfield for the first time and for the first time in red. A thunderous strike into the top corner made it 2:0.
Minute 75: Roy Korin tried to join the scoresheet with a fine individual move cutting inside from the wing and firing a shot that missed the target by a small margin.
