Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv Opens Toto Cup Group Stage with a 2-1 Win over Hapoel Petah Tikva — Stunning Winner by Toriel

The Red Devils kicked off their Toto Cup campaign on the right foot with a 2-1 away win against Hapoel Petah Tikva, marking the official debut of several new signings: Fernand Mayembo, Assaf Tzur, Doron Leidner, Lucas Falcao, and Daniel Dappa — all starting in head coach Eliniv Barda’s lineup.

The match began evenly, with both sides cautiously feeling each other out. In the 30th minute, the hosts broke the deadlock and took a 1-0 lead.

But Hapoel responded quickly. Just five minutes later, striker Daniel Dappa capitalized on a loose ball in the box and slotted home the equalizer — marking his first goal in red.

In the second half, Hapoel took control of the match and pressed for a winner. In the 87th minute, the breakthrough finally came. Stav Toriel, in a brilliant solo effort, dribbled past two defenders down the right flank, cut into the box, and fired a powerful shot from a tight angle into the far corner to seal the victory.

Hapoel finishes the night with all three points and a strong start to their Toto Cup journey.
