For the first time in history, the Tel Aviv Derby arrives on the biggest stage of the Toto Cup. Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv will face Maccabi Tel Aviv tonight at Bloomfield Stadium in the 2026/27 Toto Cup Final, with an opportunity to lift the silverware for the first time since 2024. Ahead of kickoff, we have gathered the road to the final, the match officials, the head-to-head record, and the complete history of the derby in cup finals.

The Road to the Final: Two Stoppage-Time Comebacks

In the quarter-final on July 18 at Miriam Stadium in Netanya, Beitar Jerusalem appeared destined for the final four: after Chico Alves opened the scoring in the 19th minute, Beitar turned the match around to take a 2-1 lead. Daniel Dappa leveled the score at 2-2 in the 90+7th minute, and in the ensuing penalty shootout, goalkeeper Assaf Tzur produced three crucial saves to guide Hapoel to a 3-1 victory.

In the semi-final on August 16 against Ironi Kiryat Shmona, Hapoel trailed 1-0 for almost the entire match—until Dappa intervened once more. A dramatic stoppage-time brace (90+6' and 90+8'), the second created by Douglas Owusu on his debut, secured a 2-1 comeback and sent the Reds to the final. Dappa is Hapoel's top scorer in the competition this season with 3 goals.
