A tournament was held in memory of the late Eitan Shor, who served as the manager of Bloomfield Stadium for 21 years. His family, friends, and representatives from various organizations attended. A team representing the club won two derbies and took first place

Last night (Sunday), we gathered to honor the memory of the late Eitan Shor, the legendary manager of Bloomfield Stadium, who passed away four years ago after a long battle with illness, having served in his position for 21 years.

Beloved Eitan was deeply dedicated to his work - a true professional of the highest level, one of the best in the country, always doing everything with kindness and a smile.

Six teams took part in the tournament: Hapoel Tel Aviv, Maccabi Tel Aviv, the Shor family, Eitan’s friends, the Sports Halls organization, and the “Leaan” ticket office.

Guy Primor, CEO of the Club: "I never had the chance to meet Eitan, but I’ve heard so much about him - his reputation precedes him. People told me about his kindness, his professionalism — all the values we look for today. Here at Bloomfield, we meet his son Amit and see how he continues his father’s path, and it’s a pleasure to work with him. It is an honor for us as a club to pay tribute to Eitan’s memory, and I wish everyone an enjoyable tournament”.

Yaakov Chen, Bloomfield Stadium Manager: "Emotional events like this highlight the bond between the stadium’s home clubs and the staff. In the two years we worked together, my soul was tied to Eitan’s - his picture is in front of me at all times”.

Maor Binyamini, CEO of Sports Halls: "This is a moving and meaningful occasion. Eitan touched the hearts of everyone who knew him, and personally, he taught me so much. We will remember him forever”.

Amos Hasson, Eitan’s friend: "Eitan’s life coming full circle - from a child who fell in love with Bloomfield to becoming its manager - always moved him and all of us. Thank you to everyone who organized the tournament and came to honor us and his memory”.

Pazit Shor, Eitan’s widow: "Eitan was a man of joy and endless generosity, who always listened, helped everyone, and did it all with a smile. Bloomfield, football, and the pitch were inseparable parts of him. He knew every corner of the stadium, every seat, every blade of grass. Everyone who knew him understood that Bloomfield was not only his workplace - it was his home. This tournament is the best way to remember him. I thank Hapoel Tel Aviv for holding it, and everyone who took part”.

In the tournament itself, Hapoel fielded a team including Avihay Yadin, Avi Azulay, Salim Toama, and several club staff members. They were drawn into a group with the Shor family and Maccabi Tel Aviv, who also arrived with several former players. After winning the opening match against the Shor family, Hapoel met their city rivals and won 2:1, with Salim Toama scoring a stunning goal from midfield to send the team into the semifinals.

In the semifinal, Hapoel defeated Eitan’s friends, and in the final faced Maccabi Tel Aviv once again. After a 1:1 draw at the end of ten minutes, the match went to penalties. The senior team’s kit manager, Ben Cohen, saved two penalties (from Yakir Shina and Amir Shelach), and despite a miss by Avihay Yadin, the club’s deputy CEO Erez Naaman and senior team masseur Assi Alsidwi both converted from the spot to secure a red victory in the tournament.

Hapoel & Referee Sapir Berman

Sapir Berman has officiated just three Hapoel Tel Aviv league matches throughout history. The first was on April 5, 2018, in the National League, when Hapoel defeated Hapoel Petah Tikva 2–1 in Matchday 30 with goals from Moti Barshazki (45+1) and Edi Gotlieb (45+3).
The second came in the 2023/24 season, a 4–3 away defeat to Hapoel Haifa.
The most recent league match was last season, a 2–2 draw against Hapoel Kfar Saba in Matchday 12 (a brace by Roy Korin).

This season, she also officiated Hapoel in the Toto Cup – a 2–0 win over Ashdod in Group B (Matchday 5). Additionally, she refereed two other Toto Cup matches: a 2–1 win over Hapoel Jerusalem on August 15, 2021, and a 1–0 loss away to Ashdod on August 8, 2023.

In total, Berman has taken charge of six Hapoel matches as head referee: three wins, one draw, and two losses – with a goal tally of 11–9. Notably, every single one of those matches featured goals – not a single goalless draw.

The Red Legend surprised the players of the coolest team around: “I haven’t enjoyed myself this much since retiring, I’m considering joining every training session.”

As every Friday, the players of Hapoel Shavim Tel Aviv gathered at the HodoroV complex for their weekly training session. But this time, before it began, the players were told that the session wouldn’t be led by the team’s two regular coaches – but rather by a “surprise coach.”

As the training started, the Red Legend himself walked in – the one and only Salim Tuama – moving all the players deeply. Tuama led the session and later joined in a football match alongside the rest of the team, which is made up of fans with and without disabilities.

At the end of the training, Tuama said:
“I must admit, since my retirement I haven’t enjoyed football like this. There are some quality players here with great values, good people, and a wonderful team. I really enjoyed it, and I’m seriously considering coming every Friday to train with them – whenever I can. I just hope I wake up tomorrow without pain...”

We love you!
