Hapoel faced Maccabi Jaffa in the final training match before returning from the international break and pitch maintenance, held at the athletics field in Hadar Yosef. The match concluded four intense days that included three preparation games and a mini training camp in northern Israel.

Andrian Kraev, Stav Toriel, Loizos Loizou, Ran Binyamin, and Dor Benyamini will return to training next week.

In the 27th minute, Omri Altman sent a through ball from the center of the field to Roy Korine, who finished with a single touch to give us the lead. 1:0 to Hapoel, which was also the halftime score.

Stav Toriel and the Israel national team closed the 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign with a 4:1 win over Moldova. Turiel came on as a substitute in the 77th minute.

In the current campaign, Turiel recorded his two debut appearances for the senior national team. Israel finished in third place in Group I. A few days earlier, the national team played a friendly match against Lithuania, which ended in a goalless draw, with Turiel coming on as a substitute in the 65th minute.

Loizos Loizou and the Cyprus national team closed the 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign with a 0:2 loss to Austria (65 minutes for Loizou).

Cyprus finished the group stage in fourth place in Group H, which included Austria, Bosnia, Romania, and San Marino. Loizou started in the national team’s lineup in all eight matches played in the campaign. Last night, Cyprus played a friendly match against Estonia, which ended in a 2:4 loss, with Loizou not participating.

Andrian Kraev and the Bulgaria national team closed the 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign with two matches, against Turkey and Georgia. In the first match, against Turkey, the Bulgarians lost 0:2 (72 minutes for Kraev) and beat Georgia 2:1 (Kraev did not participate).

Bulgaria finished the group stage in last place in Group E, which included Spain, Turkey, and Georgia. Kraev made four appearances in the current campaign, three of them in the starting lineup.

Dor Benymini, Ran Binyamin, Roei Alkukin, and Daniel Dappa played with the Israel U21 national team as part of the Euro 2026 qualifiers, against Norway and the Netherlands. In the match against Norway, which ended in a 0:3 loss, Benymini (90 minutes) and Binyamin (76 minutes) started in the lineup, Alkukin (14 minutes) and Dappa (25 minutes) came off the bench. In the match against the Netherlands, in which the national team recorded a big 3:1 win, Benymini (90 minutes) and Binyamin (80 minutes) started in the lineup - with the young midfielder scoring the second goal of the match. Alkukin and Dappa did not participate.

Hapoel held a training match this morning (Tuesday) at the Hodorov Complex against Hapoel Rishon LeZion ahead of the team’s mini training camp in the north.

Absent from the match were the national team players: Loizos Loizou, Andrian Kraev, Dor Benaymini, Ran Binaymin, Roei Alkukin, and Daniel Dappa. Stav Toriel, Liran Rotman, Amit Lemkin, Mor Buskila, and Anas Mahamid were not included.

In the 4th minute, Hapoel conceded an early goal. In the 38th minute, Leidner delivered a first-touch cross to Omri Altman, who headed in the equalizer. Toward the end of the first half, Rishon LeZion were awarded a penalty and their player beat Assaf Tzur.

In the 52nd minute, Roy Korine broke into the box from the right, and his cross struck a defender’s hand. Omri Altman stepped up to the spot but sent the penalty over the bar. In the 83rd minute, Korine again surged down the right side, squared the ball, and youth team striker Omri Levy equalized.

On the very next attack, Rishon regained the lead. Just before the final whistle, Omri Levy completed his brace with a precise header to tie the match.

Hapoel resumed intensive training yesterday (Sunday) after a week-long break during which the players and staff recharged with fresh energy.

Today (Monday), the team held a double training session, and tomorrow they will head out for a four-day training camp in northern Israel.

Before traveling north, the team will play a friendly match against Hapoel Rishon LeZion, and upon returning from the camp they will face Maccabi Yaffo.

The national team players: Loizos Loizou, Andrian Kraev, Dor Benaymini, Ran Binaymin, Roei Alkukin, and Daniel Dappa - will rejoin training at the beginning of next week. Stav Toriel will join the team for the training camp.

Once the international break and pitch maintenance period conclude, Hapoel will host Bnei Sakhnin at Bloomfield Stadium (29.11, 17:30) as part of Matchday 11 of the Winner League.

Hapoel will face Premier League rival F.C Ashdod in its first matchup of the “Winner” State Cup

The draw determined that Hapoel will host the match at Bloomfield Stadium between December 25–29, 2025, with the exact date to be announced later.

As a reminder, the teams have already met twice this season: Hapoel won 2:0 in the Toto Cup group stage finale and achieved an impressive 6:2 away victory in the league. Now, another all–Premier League clash awaits - one that promises to be a true test.

Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv will host Ironi Tiberias tomorrow (Saturday, 17:30) at Bloomfield Stadium, as part of the ninth round of the Winner League.

During the match, the club will mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month, with the players wearing pink shirts, the international color symbolizing the fight against the disease. Before kickoff, a ceremony will be held with the participation of several women who have recovered from breast cancer, in collaboration with the “One in Nine” organization.

The team held its final training session this morning (Friday), ahead of its third match in eight days, with all players participating except for Mor Bouskila, Anas Mahamid, and Amit Lamkin, who will miss the game.

Head coach Elyaniv Barda said ahead of the match: “”We want to start a new path tomorrow. We’re facing a good opponent that will come prepared, but I can promise that we’ll also come ready, focused, and won’t overlook any detail. We’ll need to be in the game from the very first second to get back on the winning track”.

Stav Toriel added: “It’s not a secret that we’ve had a tough week with two losses, but tomorrow we’re back at our home, Bloomfield Stadium, with the goal of returning to the winning track in front of our fans. We’ll do everything we can to make them happy”.

Eight of our players will represent their national teams during the break

We’ll start with our representatives in the Israel senior national team: Assaf Tzur, who earned his first-ever call-up, and Stav Toriel, who joins the squad for the first time as well. The two will play with the national team against Norway on Saturday (October 11, 19:00) and Italy on Tuesday (October 14, 21:45), two challenging matches in the World Cup qualifying group stage.

Loizos Loizou will play for Cyprus, starting tonight (Thursday, 21:45) against Bosnia, and again on Sunday (October 12, 16:00) against San Marino, as part of the World Cup qualifiers.

Andrian Kraev will feature for Bulgaria, facing Turkey on Saturday (October 11, 21:45) and Spain on Tuesday (October 14, 21:45), also in the World Cup qualifying stage.

The Israel Olympic team (U21) - featuring Ran Benyamin, Dor Binyamini, Mor Buskila, and Daniel Dappa — will play tomorrow (Friday, 19:00) against Slovenia in the U21 Euro qualifying group stage.
Roei Alkukin and Amit Lemkin, who were both called up but suffered injuries in our last match, have been released from the squad.
