A football tournament was held in memory of a club supporter who was murdered three years ago. A team representing the club finished in second place
This morning (Friday), a soccer tournament was held in Kfar Saba in memory of the city’s residents, Tomer Morad and Eitam Magini.

Tomer, a Hapoel Tel Aviv supporter, and Eitam, a Hapoel Kfar Saba supporter, childhood friends from Kfar Saba, went out together on Dizengoff Street in Tel Aviv on the evening of 7/4/2022. In a despicable terror attack, both were murdered along with another civilian. They were 27 at the time of their deaths.
Tomer, of blessed memory, was a devoted Hapoel fan who regularly sat in Gate 5 at the team’s matches. Thousands of supporters wearing red shirts attended his funeral, and the ceremony held in his memory at the first home match after his murder is forever etched in our minds.
The tournament, held for the third consecutive year in cooperation with the Morad and Magini families, "Medinat HaKaduregel" and the Kfar Saba Municipality, took place at the training pitch next to Levita Stadium. Representing the club were team manager Salim Toama, technical director Omer Buksenbaum, former players Avihay Yadin, Avi Azulai and Dan Einbinder, and several club employees.

Hapoel finished the group stage in first place thanks to two wins and one draw. In the quarterfinals, Hapoel beat the Reservists Team 2:1 - many of whom were Tomer’s fellow soldiers. In the semifinals, Hapoel defeated the Artists Team 2:0, with a low free kick by Salim Toama and a beautiful full-pitch goal by Avihay Yadin at the final whistle.

In the final, Hapoel faced Hapoel Kfar Saba 1928, made up of active Liga Alef players, in 12 minutes of play under pouring rain - and lost 5:3 despite goals by Salim Toama and Dan Einbinder.
Tomer’s sister, Tal Morad, said at the opening of the tournament: “What’s happening here today reflects exactly who Tomer and Itay were: family, friends, and football. Thank you all for coming, and may the best team win”.

Hapoel Shavim began its league journey with a 1:0 derby victory.
The “Equal in Football” League has officially launched its second season, with the opening tournament held at Emek HaArazim Field in Jerusalem.

Our Hapoel Shavim team opened the competition with an impressive 1:0 win over Maccabi Tel Aviv in the derby, before falling 3:1 to Maccabi Haifa in the second match. The third game, originally scheduled against Hapoel Jerusalem, was postponed with mutual agreement and will be rescheduled for a later date.

In addition to our Hapoel Shavim side, the league also features the “Equal” teams of Maccabi Haifa, Hapoel Be’er Sheva, Maccabi Netanya, Hapoel Petah Tikva, Hapoel Kfar Saba, Maccabi Tel Aviv, Hapoel Jerusalem, Hapoel Ramat Gan, and Ironi Ashdod.

Later this season, additional national tournaments will take place in Be’er Sheva and Netanya.
Before the match against Ironi Tiberias, we honored the memory of our beloved supporter, Oz Zanzouri 💔
Oz, 28 at the time of his passing, was called up for reserve duty on the morning of October 7.

In the first days after the massacre, he was among the first to enter Kibbutz Nir Oz, where amid the horrors he personally carried the bodies of children and infants, doing everything he could to protect us all.

Oz took part in complex missions to rescue hostages. For more than 400 days of fighting, he risked his life with courage, devotion, and humility and even in the heart of Gaza, his heart always beat red.

Oz deeply loved life, his family, his friends, and of course Hapoel Tel Aviv the club that brought him the most joy, as he wrote in one of the many notes he left behind. Hapoel saved Oz when he was struggling with severe post-trauma and became one of his greatest loves.
Tragically, Oz was killed a few months ago in a motorcycle accident between reserve duty rotations in Gaza, on May 15 the anniversary of the Double.

His seat in Gate 5 will remain empty, but his spirit will stay with us forever.
We will remember you always ♾️❤️
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the club’s women’s and men’s teams will continue the tradition that began five years ago and take the field over the next two days wearing pink kits
Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv Football Club will mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month over the coming weekend. The women’s team will face Maccabi Atlit tomorrow (Friday) at 13:30, while the men’s team will meet Ironi Tiberias on Saturday at 17:30. Both teams will wear pink kits in support of the fight against breast cancer and to raise awareness for the cause.

Before kickoff of the men’s match, a special ceremony will be held with the participation of volunteers from the “One in Nine” organization, emphasizing the importance of early detection, treatment, and prevention.
Founded in 1994, “One in Nine” supports women with breast cancer and their families, providing emotional and practical assistance through volunteers who have recovered from the disease, as well as professional guidance, information, and advocacy. The organization promotes awareness campaigns and educational programs on early detection and prevention. It is Israel’s oldest and leading organization dedicated to women battling breast cancer and their loved ones.

Breast cancer is the most common form of cancer among women in Israel, accounting for about one-third of new cancer cases. According to the Israel Cancer Association, by the end of 2025 approximately 5,730 new cases will be diagnosed-an average of 16 per day-and around 1,000 women are expected to die from the disease each year. Early detection through mammography is highly encouraged, with participation rates above 70% in recent years. Prevention, early screening, and genetic monitoring remain key factors in the fight against breast cancer.
Early detection saves lives - go get checked

Two Years Since the Outbreak of the Devastating War: The Hapoel Family Mourns and Remembers
Today we mark two years since the brutal terror attack and the painful war that claimed the lives of thousands of Israelis — among them dozens of Hapoel Tel Aviv fans.
From that cursed day, the Hapoel Tel Aviv community lost many of its own: families slaughtered in the Gaza border kibbutzim, young people who came to celebrate life at the Nova festival, and members of the security forces who fought bravely within Israel and beyond its borders.
Hapoel Tel Aviv was a meaningful part of each of their lives — and we are committed to preserving and honoring their memory.
Over the past two years, we have continued to embrace the bereaved families who lost their entire world, to extend help and support to all those wounded in body and soul, and to maintain the strength and resilience of our beloved community.
Our prayer is for the war to end without further loss of life, for the swift return of all hostages home, and for days of peace and quiet.
We will remember them all, we will love them all —
and you will never walk alone.
Together, forever.

The two clubs held a joint ceremony attended by the families of fans from both teams who were murdered on October 7: “We will continue to commemorate and remember forever״

Before the kickoff of last night’s match against Hapoel Be’er Sheva, the two clubs held a ceremony marking two years since the outbreak of the war. Players and referees took to the pitch wearing shirts honoring the 48 hostages still held captive.
Joining them on the field were the families of Hapoel Be’er Sheva fans Shahar Kriaf, murdered on Zikim Beach, and Amit Cohen, murdered at the Nova festival - alongside the families of Hapoel Tel Aviv fans who were murdered in the horrific massacre and whose bodies remain in Gaza: Meni Godard from Be’eri and Lior Rodaif from Nir Yitzhak.
“We will continue to commemorate all those who were murdered and express gratitude to all the heroes who saved, were injured, and fought for us. We conclude with a call and prayer for the release of the hostages - amen,” the stadium announcer concluded.

Hosting the Tournament in Collaboration with the “My Home Field” Association in Memory of Omer Hermesh and Staff Sergeant Yaron “Noni” Shay – with the Participation of the Club’s Departments
Last Friday, we hosted for the second time at the Hodorov complex a tournament of the “My Home Field” Association, an organization that helps homeless individuals and people living on the streets reintegrate into society and rehabilitate through group and personal support.

The tournament was dedicated to the memory of the team’s fans, the late Omer Hermesh and the late Staff Sergeant Yaron “Noni” Shay.

Representing us in the tournament were the Hapoel Equals team, the Youth Academy coaches’ team, and players from the women’s team, who served as referees.

At the end of the tournament, the senior team players joined together with team manager Salim Toama to launch the final match between the coaches’ team and Noni’s friends’ team.

A big thank you to all the participants – see you next year!

An emotional ceremony was held in memory of the team’s supporter, the late Yair Eliyahu, who fell about two months ago. His family came onto the pitch to receive a token of appreciation from the club.
Last night, we paid tribute to the late Yair Eliyahu, a devoted fan of the team who fell in the Gaza Strip during operational activity two months ago.
Yair served in the Combat Engineering Corps as a heavy engineering equipment operator. Throughout the fighting, he entered the Strip dozens of times and fought with great courage.
The motto of the Combat Engineering Corps is “Always First,” and that is exactly who Yair was: the first to take on every mission and every need that arose, in the army and beyond. He was a born leader, a true go-getter, and above all, a joyful person. His trademarks were his big smile—and of course, his deep love for Hapoel Tel Aviv.

At the age of 13, Yair joined the club’s football academy and fell in love with the red colors. From then on, he attended every match without fail, no matter the place or time. He was a dedicated season-ticket holder in Gate 5, always singing and drumming the chants from the stands.
To his parents, Chava and Yaniv, his sister Michal, and the entire Eliyahu family—you will forever be part of the Hapoel Tel Aviv family. You’ll never walk alone
