Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv defeated Ironi Tiberias 2:0 at Bloomfield Stadium

Hapoel returned to league action with a 2:0 win over Ironi Tiberias in front of more than 14,000 red supporters at Bloomfield Stadium.

The Reds opened the match with total control, as captain Fernand Mayembo returned to the starting lineup.

Their dominance was reflected on the scoreboard in the 30th minute: Loizos Loizou produced a brilliant solo move, dribbled past two defenders, and sent a cross that deflected off Shtav Turiel and went in 1:0 to Hapoel.

In the second half, the Reds, who wore pink kits in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month sat back and waited for Tiberias in their own half, aiming to protect their lead. In the 84th minute, Tiberias were reduced to ten men after their defender was shown a second yellow card.

In stoppage time, Hapoel sealed the victory: Doron Leidner sent a perfect through ball to Shtav Turiel, who struck it first-time with his right foot into the corner to make it 2:0 at the final whistle.
