The Reds, who arrived in the capital without the suspended Andrian Kraev and the injured Emmanuel Boateng, opened the match on level terms. At the start of the second half, Roei Alkukin came on for Stav Toriel. Hapoel began to press in search of a second goal, and within just 12 minutes wrapped up the contest with two sensational goals: in the 53rd minute, a fantastic team move started by Alkukin flowed through Owusu, Marcus Coco, and Yannick Leliendal, who backheeled brilliantly to Omri Altman to finish first-time into the net, celebrating his third consecutive match with a goal to make it 2-0 to Hapoel.

In the 65th minute, Leliendal completed a brace of assists when he delivered an accurate cross from the left flank, and Alkukin struck first-time into the net to seal a convincing 3-0 lead.
From that point until the final whistle, the Reds maintained complete control and kept a clean sheet. Following the victory, Hapoel raises its tally to 19 points out of a possible 24 after eight rounds, holding an impressive goal difference of 18-5 (+13).
